This super fast lens is a micro four thirds lens which allows you to get amazingly shallow depth of field using cameras such as the Panasonic AF100 or GH2.
Voigtlander's Nokton 25mm f/0.95 Micro Four Thirds Lens has an extraordinarily wide maximum aperture of f/0.95--more than a full stop faster than a very fast f/1.4. This lens is equivalent to a normal 50mm lens in 35mm format and is capable of producing extremely shallow depth of field at wide apertures--an effect not always easy to accomplish with small-sensor cameras like those in the Micro Four Thirds format.
Considering the crop factor of 2X with M43 lenses, the 25mm Voigtlander lens is the equivalent of a 50mm lens for its field of view. If you are shooting with a Panasonic GH2 or Panasonic AF100 or any other camera with a M43 mount and need to get a wider shot but still want to use a f0.95 maximum aperture lens, you may want to look at the 17.5mm Voigtlander lens.
